Almost Time

1 day and counting!

On Wednesday, I came home, had some left overs and half a glass of wine. I took my laptop and sat down on the couch to write an entry. Next thing I know I wake up doubled over on the couch! I passed the fuck out! And this, is I why I don't drink wine. It knocks me the fuck out. Every single time. So much so that I refuse to drink it when I go out.

Anyway, so last week I made a decision. I am going back to grad school. This Fall.

I'm so fed uo with working just for the sake of working. And, it's something that I said I would never do. Yeah, I enjoy my job, which is more that I can say about some people. But I don't love my job. It certainly is not my passion. Plus, my bosses don't know what the fuck they are doing. How the hell are you in the middle of a multi-million dollar expansion, but your strategic plan is not finalized and you keep changing things every week? They're idiots.

Last Tuesday, I started my application and started to prepare for my GREs. Everything has to be in by June 1st, so I have just about a month to get everything done. I've already secured 1 of 3 recommendation letters, completed my application, except for the Statement of Purpose, and narrowed down my field of study. I'm ready; after 5 years I'm finally ready. The only problem is that I'm applying to late to get financial assistance, which sucks. It means I'll either have to pay for myself (which I can't afford) or find a ton of outside scholarships (which there aren't a ton of). Or I guess I could ask my mother, but I really hate taking money from her.

I'm so excited about my trip, although I have not started packing at all. I don't even know what to take. I have to be prepared for hiking and moutnains, but I also need to be prepared for a wedding and events that take place at a wedding. But I'm only taking a small carryon. This should be interesting!

I'm so tempted to go back to school, too. Just don't pile up the loans. It took 14 years, on average, for many people to pay back all that they owe. Take lots of pictures, etc. Don't forget the skinny dipping ones!

Congrats on your decision!! I know this sounds cheesy, but grad school is SO MUCH fun, much more than undergrad... I'm excited for your trip too -- take lots of photos & have a great time!

Yeah, it happened but at a good time. I got to say goodbye late that night. Jethro was a good dog, no issues or problems. It's always hard, however, to say goodbye to such a great animal. I'm expecting pictures of this trip. Too cold for skinny dipping or was it? You've got to inform me about your stranger in the night because there has been nothing that hints at you getting your berry tingled. I'm going to tickle Sara's tomorrow!
